I
graduated in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 1975 and took
my doctorate from Oxford University in 1983, after working for a few
years in computing. I taught mathematics back at Cambridge for 15 years
and left the academic world in 1998 to join the civil service. I still
do mathematics in my spare time my interests are mainly in computational
number theory.
