I live in San Jose, California.  I graduated from the University of California, at Davis, in 1971, with a degree in Math.  Since then I have worked as a computer programmer at various companies.  I have been interested in mathematical things since about age 9 or 10.  My main math interest is factoring and primes.  I have written a program to do calculations and trial factoring of integers up to about 2400 digits. I have been a GIMPS participant since about October 1996.
